Another fun weekend with James:
Friday was a snow day in Conway, so I *carefully* hauled butt up to Piggott to see my man. By Saturday everything was melted in southern Missouri and Eastern Tennessee so we went on an adventure!
We pretended we were kids and hung out at the Discovery Museum (Union City, TN). So many cool things to see how not just technology has changed but lifestyle in general. Its set up on several levels and you “walk through time/change” of military, automobiles, torture methods, technology, archaeology, space, and more. Then you can go outside to replicas from early 1800s and early 1900s.
Since it was in the 20s no lines at any of the outside features. We saw a dental chair that was about 100yrs old looked like a torture chamber. There was also an old train you could walk through that reminded me of Will Smith’s Wild Wild West. The barn was warm and held lots of different equipment including a STEAM tractor! The chapel was another warm sanctuary, one of the workers was hiding in the corner and accidentally scared us. Thankfully she wasn’t a ghost, just trying to do her crossword and stay warm.
Sunday after church we got the little boat ready for another adventure–fishing–in the heatwave that is 26* weather.
